Recharging of Air Chambers (Knocking or Banging Pipes)

  • 1). Turn water off at main shut off.
  • 2). First start at lowest faucet, turn them on working your way to the highest faucet.
  • 3). Once the water has stopped coming out of all faucets then you start over.
  • 4). Turn water back on at the main.
  • 5). Now you work your way from the highest faucet to the lowest and turn them off once you notice the water is coming out in a steady and even flow.
    THIS IS A COMMON MAINTENANCE ITEM.

Remember to take your hoses off of the spigots before the first freeze to avoid freezing and splitting sillcock
